Halbouty Energy is a specialty petrochemical company based out of Houston, Texas. Our President, Michel Halbouty Hewitt, is the grandson Michel T. Halbouty, geologist and famous Wildcatter. Our goal is to carry on the tradition set forth by Michel T. Halbouty.

Michel Halbouty Hewitt
President
Michel Halbouty Hewitt, born in 1975 and raised in Houston, is following in the footsteps of his Grandfather, the legendary geologist and famous wildcatter, Michel T. Halbouty. Mr. Hewitt, after graduating from the University of Denver in 2003, then working in London, England, for 5 years, returned to Houston and jumpstarted Halbouty Energy and proudly oversees the operations at Halbouty Energy as President and CEO. Today, Halbouty Energy is a manufacturer and supplier of a broad range of specialty chemicals and products for the oil industry with a focus on providing excellent customer service and product support. Under the leadership of Mr. Hewitt, with the objective to ensure that the Halbouty name continues to be known for the utmost dignity and integrity, Halbouty Energy has established a reputation as one of the most trusted names throughout the industry. Through dedication and thoughtful direction, Michel Hewitt is making his own name known and accepted….while maintaining the tradition set forth by his Grandfather.
Matthew M. Smith
Vice President
Matt is a native Houstonian. After graduating from the University of Texas in 2001 with a B.A. in Government and a Minor in Business, Matt moved to Washington D.C. and worked as a Worldwide Services Consultant for an international software company. After returning to Houston, Matt worked as a graphic designer and trial consultant before joining Halbouty Energy in February of 2011. Since that time, Matt has worked behind the scenes keeping the daily operations running. He plays an important role as Vice President of Business Development and Director of Marketing.
Ross Kennedy
Managing Partner
Ross is a graduate of Texas A&M University. Upon graduation, Ross set upon a path in sales and marketing, eventually forming his own business in College Station, Texas. From that humble beginning Ross returned to his native Houston in 2006 to pursue a career in industrial and commercial sales within the coatings industry. After partnership roles in three separate enterprises, Ross made the long desired entry into the Oil & Gas sector. Ross manages day-to-day sales activities and the sales team at Halbouty Energy while also maintaining a key role in business development for Halbouty Energy in all respects. In his free time, Ross enjoys traveling the great state of Texas and spending time at his Ranch near Madisonville, Texas.
